New Jersey Jewish Film Festival!

Thank you New Jersey! Very grateful to share that this year’s festival will include FOUR of my short films from my BOUNTY series - my live action piece, Eleanor of Illinois, and three of my video collages. I have never shown this much work in a single festival before! It’s really exciting.

New Forgive Us Illustration

It’s pretty wild that I created Forgive Us, my sculpture portrait of Ivanka and Jared, BEFORE the events of Jan 6th. I think this piece has taken on a whole new meaning since that day, and I’m so thankful to Luis P. Melgar for creating this beautiful illustration highlighting all my interventions on the original antique platter!

This sculpture employs 18k gold and late grandma Buddy’s melted gold teeth to transform an antique platter portrait of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette into one of Jared and Ivanka. The platter has been in my family for generations - we used it to hold matzoh at Passover.

This is really special and thrilling for me - I’ve never shown my work in Europe before! My live action short, Eleanor of Illinois, and one of my BOUNTY video collages, The Woman Who Heard Too Much, will be included in this year’s UK Jewish Film Festival.

Due to the pandemic, both films will be available as digital screenings on November 6th, part of the festival’s Women’s Hour event. I can’t wait!!
